Ortler Sky Trails 2022?

ALS and a sad goodbye

Ortler Sky Trails is partly a fundraiser for research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Several of our team’s relatives have been afflicted by it and we have gathered to make a difference on an international scale, not only as an amazing skyrunning event, but also as an inspiring fundraiser.

In 2019 the Race Director's mother was with us in Sulden as a volunteer. Sadly this past October she passed away after a hard fought battle against ALS. We have been grieving and it has been quiet for some time, but we have not been idle. We feel ready to organize the next edition of Ortler Sky Trails and continue the fight against ALS together with you.

Next Edition

We believe there’s a great future ahead for us and we can give you a once in a lifetime experience around the Ortler. Unfortunately after last year’s cancellation we haven’t been able to get the support of the local authorities. We had a lot of bills to pay and we had zero income, so we cannot organize the event without them, though we’re not giving up! The region has been hit hard and lost a lot of tourism because of covid, so we ask you not to contact them with bad intentions, but if we can all show them how much we’re looking forward to run and relax at the Ortler, we can hope to change their mind.

Let’s show them our support and love for the mountains by filling in the following questionnaire! It will be closed at 10 in the morning of 8 december.
